Hello, and welcome to "How To Make A Web
Page". I'm your guide, Lindsay, and I'll be letting you know how to
do things.
1. First, you need something that really interests you. This might be your
favorite band, author, TV show, whatever. This makes topics on your page really
easy.
2. Second, you need a place to build your "homepage" on. Places such
as these include:
*www.chickpages.com
*www.geocites.com
*www.angelfire.com
*www.gurlpages.com
*www.tripod.com
These are good places to get homepages because they take you through the process
step-by-step and you can make a page even if you have no idea what so ever of
what you are doing.
3. You need information for your page. Information is things like dates, times,
descriptions, and pictures. A good way to get info like this is to do a search
on your topic. A good place to do a search is www.aol.com
because they have very good information.
4. This is just a piece of advice: GET YOUR PARENTS
PERMISSION BEFORE YOU EVEN DO STEP 1!!! All of the page makers ask for
your name and address and some of your parents might not want you to enter this.
Ask them what you should do. Another piece of advice is to never put a password
in that has anything to do with your page. Someone could guess your password and
ruin your page.
