How  Many?

   You will need:

Pencil Paper  copy  Fish Journal  Crayons/Markers

Fishy Problems:  

  1. Solve the problems and write a journal entry explaining how you got your answer. 

  2.  Draw a picture that demonstrates the problem.

   Joan caught 35 fish on Monday and 56 fish on Tuesday.  On Wednesday she sold 27 fish.  How many fish did she still have?

 

  Mike sold 3 worms each to his 4 friends. How many worms did he sell in all?  

 

  Ryan had $11.59 and he wanted to buy 5 tropical fish at $2.50 a piece.  Did he have enough money?  Why or Why not? 

 

   Draw a picture that demonstrates this problem:    There are four docks and five boats at each dock.
