  Ladybug Poetry

1.Use the word box below to write your ladybug poem.

2.Write the word ladybug vertically on a piece of paper. Like this:

Write a few words for each letter that describe a ladybug.  Make sure that the first letter starts with the letter in each row.  For example; the first line would start with words that start with L....Ladybug, so red, The next with an A ... Always with black spots., etc.

3.  Write a Haiku (Japanese Poem)using the ladybug as the main idea.

The following is the pattern for a Haiku:

First line:      5 syllables

Second line:  7 syllables

Third Line:    5 syllables
