Nature Walk
A nature walk is not only fun it is educational. Take the kids on a walk in the backyard. Do the following (with the parent's permission).
1. Sit on the ground and look very closely. What do you see?
2. Walk around the yard and name all the living things you see. Insects, plants etc.
3. Walk around the yard and find man-made things.
4. Take a notebook and write down words that describe what you ...

5. Sit down with some paper and draw what you see.
6. Before you go on your walk. Make a list of things to find....then go for your walk and see how many things you actually see.
Remember to ask permission from the parents to go anywhere beyond the yard.
