Milk Jug Game

Materials Needed:

Two one gallon milk jugs,
 small ball or bean bag,
craft or utility knife (adult use only),
 masking tape

Directions:

This first part is for adults only.

  1. Cut the milk jugs in half horizontally with a utility or craft knife.
  2.  You will be using the top portion with the handle.
  3.  Make sure there are no rough edges.
  4. Put masking tape around the cut edge.

How to Play:

Toss the ball or bean bag to your partner who will catch it with the milk jug and toss it back to you without touching the ball with your hands.

(For younger children a bean bag or low bounce ball would be better)

Variation: If you're playing by yourself, poke a hole in the milk jug (again adults only should do this) tie a string through the hole, and tie a small ball to the other end of the string.

Try to get the ball in the milk jug!
