Make your own greeting cards!

Homemade greeting cards say "You are special" to the person you give them to.  They are easy to make !

You will need:

8 1/2 by 11 inch paper

crayons, markers, or colored pencils

a variety of fun materials (buttons, feathers, felt, magazines, etc.)

Scissors

Glue

1.  Fold your paper in half and fold in half again. This is your basic card.

2. Decide what your are going to write on the cover page.  Write it neatly.

3.  Decide what you want to say on the inside.  Write it neatly.

Now that your card is made and the message is written, you can create a wonderful and decorative card.

Ideas:

Decorate with feathers and buttons to make a unique design.

Make borders around the edges in a theme that matches your card.  For example: birthday candles, happy faces, etc.

Make fancy edges....cut with scissors in wavy designs or use special scissors that make fancy cuts.

Punch hole on the folded side and string with yarn or ribbon

Make a small pocket and glue inside the card.  Write a special note and stick it in.
