Chinese Lion              

Chinese Lion: Idea submitted by Serena

1) Take a empty, clean, and dry milk carton that students have in the cafeteria.

2) Have strips of different colored construction paper cut so that they can be glued around the carton. This will be done in a layered look.

3) Before gluing, have students cut "lines" into each strip so that when they are glued, they will create a feathered or "furred" look.

4) The open side of the carton must be open all the way, not part.

5) The close (bottom) side will have the face of the lion.

6) Students color and glue the lion's head to the bottom.
