• Kathryn Cristaldi's tale of two mismatched cousins is a great math lesson enhancer, as well as a lesson in the value of diversity. Enhances vocabulary and comprehension.
• Students determine the rule for input/output tables, and complete the table using the rule.
• Students determine the pattern, then follow the pattern to complete a grid and play a game.
• This mini-unit helps understand the differences between EVEN and ODD numbers. Can be used with Kathryn Cristaldi's "Even Steven and Odd Todd," or separately.
• Add these 6 simple problems (sums up to 13) and then stuff the answers into the "odd" or "even" stocking.
