  • Back to School Unit: Cut out the pictures and put them in order next to the sentences. Then write a story that uses the sentences as the foundation. Good early reader work.

  • Pass out a card to each student. Students read their card to the class. The class responds and data is collected. They can then graph the results. This game has a set of 32 cards with questions and colorful pictures. Great for the first week of school.

  • A fun back-to-school activity to help students become better acquainted with their classmates. Reinforces reading, counting, sorting, and graphing skills.   • This reading comprehension concerns information about when school starts in several different countries.

  • This is a fun getting-to-know-you survey you can have students complete at the start of the school year.

  • This "All About Me" page can be filled in with drawings, words, or magazine clippings. It's a fun way for students to tell others about themselves. A nice first day activity.
