Cut out the shapes. There are three pages. The first page is a suggested cover page. Make copies of as many lined and/or unlined pages as you like in order to make a book. Use the lined pages for writing and the unlined pages for drawing/pasting pictures. Staple all
the pages together for a great shapebook in the shape of its subject.
Trace and cut out. This ten-page teddy bear-shaped shapebook has a poem about teddy bears ("Teddy bear, teddy bear, where are you?") with a short writing prompt on the final page ("There you are! You were ____!")
The complete text of the song, followed by a cloze exercise, writing prompts, a word search, a word sort, a booklet of the text to illustrate, and word cards to put in order. A great little unit!
