EFI Font Information
abcteach is adding teaching fonts it has licensed from Educational Fontware, Inc. to abctools. We currently provide these new font families (see 'Examples' below for samples and descriptions):
- EFI AB
- EFI DN
- EFI HWT
- EFI LG
- EFI QM and EFI QBA
- EFI ZB
You will soon be able to use abctools to create documents using any of the fonts below, many of which include cursive and ruled font faces.
Note that the commonly recognized names for these fonts and the official font design that goes by that name are in many cases owned by other companies or individuals who originally developed these fonts. EFI has developed their own font families, often working with the original font designers, in styles that closely correspond to these popular and familiar font styles. As a result, EFI can provide all of these font styles to the public at a reasonable cost. EFI's fonts are currently being used by thousands of public schools, private schools, and homeschoolers around the world.
abcteach has an exclusive agreement with EFI for the use of these fonts in producing online documents. However, these font families are available to anyone for their personal or classroom use. To find out more about getting these fonts for your school or home, visit the website of Educational Fontware, Inc. at www.educationalfontware.com.
