Missing Letters Instructions Return to Missing Letters Form

This form can be used to create printable missing letter worksheets. Missing letter worksheets can be printed in a variety of fonts and font sizes, and a word bank may optionally show either whole words, or just the letters that are missing.

Note that only a few missing letter worksheets are available here. An abcteach membership allows you to create any number of missing letter worksheets with your own lists of words. Member-created missing letter worksheets are saved online and can be edited, reprinted, and shared with other members at any time. Learn more about abcteach membership.

To create or change a missing letter worksheet:

  1. Choose a word list.
  2. Type in any instructions you would like at the top of the worksheet.
  3. Choose a font family and a font size.
  4. Choose a font.
  5. Choose a font family and a font size for the worksheet title.
  6. Choose a font for the worksheet title.
  7. Choose a color for your worksheet.
  8. Choose whether or not to include a title on your worksheet.
  9. Choose whether to include a word bank in your worksheet.
  10. Choose which letters to omit from the words on the worksheet.
  11. Choose the page orientation of your worksheet.
  12. Choose how frequently letters should be removed from words on your worksheet.
  13. Click on the "Print/Preview your Missing Letters Worksheet" button.

Your missing letter worksheet will be displayed in a new window. To preview and print it, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.
