A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun. 
For example:  John wore a hat.   He wore a hat. 
The pronoun "he" took the place of the noun "John".

Brainstorm with your partner words that are pronouns.

Look at the nouns below.  On the line next to the noun, write a pronoun that could take its place.
