Peace Circle Ideas

Banners: Banners are a great way to display the concepts presented at a peace circle. The students who are in charge of the peace circle presentation make a banner with sayings, pictures, and suggestions about the topic. The banner is then displayed in the halls of the school for others to be reminded of the schools focus and goals. Possible ideas for banners:

2. Role-Playing Skits: Students role play the action or behavior the peace circle is presenting. This gives the students an example of the expected behavior. For example: If the topic of the peace circle was the manner of saying "excuse me". Students would act out the different scenarios and proper use of that manner.
3. Guest Speakers: Invite members of the community to come and present to the children. Perhaps they will kick off to a community project or other activities.
4. Share Writing: Students come to the peace circle with poems and writings to share with others. The theme of the peace circle should be given to the students ahead of time to allow time for the writing: Possible writing topics:
