As of now, gift memberships are not available. The easiest way to gift a friend or family member an abcteach premium subscription is to purchase the subscription for them. In order to purchase for someone, you will just need a working email that your friend/family member would like to use for their account. Once you purchase your gift account for them, we suggest you contact us so we can turn off the auto renewal feature on your account. Since this is technically a gift, we wouldn’t want the subscription to renew automatically, which it will unless the renewals on the account are turned off. We can do this for you if you contact us, or the user of the account can do this by visiting their account dashboard.

To change either your email address, password or name on your account, visit the ‘My Account’ section of the Account Dashboard.

You can reset your password by following the instructions below:

Step by Step Instructions on how to reset your password:
1. Click on this link: password reset
2. Enter your subscription email into the password reset form.
3. You will receive an email to your associated email address. Please check your SPAM folder if you don’t receive the email to your inbox.
4. Access the email, and click on the link provided to finalize resetting your password.
5. A password reset page will come up, you can use the given pre-generated password or create your own. Once you have updated your password, you can log in to the new website here: abcteach (click on the blue log in button in the top right hand portion of the website to log in to your account).

*** If for some reason this option doesn’t work for you please contact us again with the reason why you weren’t able to reset your password on your premium account. At that time, we can reset your password for you, and provide you new log in credentials.

If you purchase an abcteach member account, materials may be printed to use for your home or classroom only. Sharing of password or login information is strictly prohibited. Suspension of account access will result from sharing this information.

For further clarification, please read our Terms of Service.

All fees are non-refundable. Once you agree to the Terms of Service and payment is successful, we can not refund your account. You may cancel your subscription renewals at any time through your My Account Dashboard. Cancelling your renewals on your subscription will expire your account at its next renewal date, and any time on your subscription left will be honored until that date, and your subscription will not be billed again automatically. If you have any questions regarding your account please contact support.

Your abcteach username and password will remain the same when you renew. If you used a different email address other than the one associated with your abcteach account during the renewal process, you may have inadvertently created a new account. Please contact technical support to have this corrected.

We have probably tried! We answer every email sent to us within 24 hours. It’s possible that you may be experiencing issues with you email. If you are currently using an internet service (Hotmail, Yahoo, MSN, etc.) make sure that you aren’t over quota for your mail storage. When using these services, failure to completely delete old mail can result in additional mail being blocked. Check your SPAM or junk mail for emails from us. If you find them there, please add abcteach.com to your ‘Allowable Mail’ list. Make sure you are contacting us here: Contact Us.

To confirm whether or not you have an abcteach subscription:

If you are uncertain whether your abcteach account is a free account or a premium subscription account, you can contact us, and we will let you know. Payment

You may pay for your abcteach membership by using the following types of credit/debit cards:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover

Please note: abcteach uses Cybersource and Paypal – both secure credit card payment sites to process all credit card transactions.

If you are having trouble making your payment with PayPal, you can also pay with a credit card, checks drawn on U.S. banks, money orders in U.S. funds, or purchase orders.

Yes, you can use a credit card to pay for multiple teachers.

Purchase orders are accepted for individuals and multiple staff members. The easiest way to pay via purchase order is to contact [email protected] and provide in an email to her the teachers’ full names and email addresses with your purchase order. We cannot set up accounts without this information. Upon receiving this information, we will set up or renew the accounts. It is best to contact [email protected] first if you haven’t received a quote yet for your group or individual teacher payment. You can also request a group membership quote here: Group Membership Quote form. If you are an individual that needs an account, you can also purchase directly from our website on your own, get started with your purchase here: Create your premium abcteach subscription now!

Debit cards are accepted for abcteach membership payments as long as the card has a Visa or Mastercard symbol on it.

Yes, that option is available through PayPal.

abcteach offers a discount on the site-license purchases for groups of 10 or more people. Additional discounts are offered for groups of 19-29 people, and 30 or more people.

If you have made a successful purchase with abcteach premium, you will receive multiple emails confirming your purchase and providing the invoice for your purchase. These emails will be sent on our behalf by Reculry, Inc. our third party payment processing provider. If you don’t receive these emails to your inbox, check your SPAM folder first, and if you still don’t see them, contact us before trying to purchase your subscription again.

Note: You are responsible for your account information, including your email/password in order to login to your account. If you can’t login to your account for some reason, you can reset your password at anytime.

Filters, typos, mailboxes over quotas, etc. can cause these messages not to get through to you. A ‘Renewal Thanks’ email with a reminder of your login information will be sent if you are renewing.

If you are in doubt about your payment, please do not go through the payment process again. Contact technical support, and we will help you. Please include your phone number in the event a filter is keeping email from getting to you, so we will be able to call you with your answer.

abcteach has members from all over the world. Due to the high costs of processing international forms of payment, abcteach only accepts:

  • Credit card payments (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). We use Cybersource – a secure payment site – to process credit card payments.
  • PayPal (You do not have to have an account with PayPal to charge with your credit card.)
  • Checks drawn on American banks in U.S. funds
  • Money orders in U.S. funds
  • Purchase orders (must be paid in U.S. funds)

Make sure to read our abcteach newsletters for discounted offers. We send discount offers to our customers periodically.

If you want to send a check or money order (must be in U.S. funds), your account will be opened as soon as your check arrives at abcteach. We will set up your account and send you a “Membership Activation” email with your login information and a link to help you log in for the first time. We will also send an email receipt for your payment.

Yes, abcteach uses Cybersource and PayPal – both secure sites – to process all credit card payments. We also use Recurly, Inc as our third party payment gateway for all individual subscriptions which are purchased online. These are all secure networks, and ways to store and collect your billing information.

There are a few reasons that can cause an error or failure message when making your abcteach membership payment. Please do not try and initiate another payment until you have checked with technical support and we check out everything on this end. We will double check and let you know if the payment was processed or not. During the payment process, do not click the back button on your browser. Doing this can cause multiple payments. If you are unsure of anything during the payment process, email support.

When sending in your question, we recommend providing a phone number to contact you as well, in case you have an email filter that may block our email response to your question.

The CVV number is a 3- or 4-digit verification number printed on the back of your credit card. These numbers are not any part of your credit card number. When paying by credit card, this number helps us be sure that only the person who physically has your credit card can make the purchase. The CVV number is required to make a credit card purchase of an abcteach membership. This ensures a secure payment form.

If you believe you have paid twice for your abcteach membership, please check with technical support first. We can make all necessary corrections and refunds from there. Technical support will check on your payment and let you know if you have made a double payment and will take care of any refund immediately. Please make sure you enter a phone number when emailing us in case we need to contact you by phone.

If you believe you have made an error in your email address when paying for your abcteach membership, please do not initiate another payment. Contact technical support and we will make the needed changes to your account.

Documents

Suggestions are accepted from abcteach members, abcteach sometimes uses suggestions from members – as well as fantastic ideas of teachers around the world – to create high-quality educational materials for thousands of users. Suggestions will be passed onto our creative team for evaluation. Suggestions are evaluated for their curriculum appeal and for the frequency of the request. They are addressed in the order they are received. If your suggestion is accepted, it will appear in a future edition of the Member Newsletter. When making a suggestion, please include the grade level, as well as details for what you would like to see in the document, including possible layout ideas.

Submit your idea here.

At abcteach, we work hard to proofread and edit all documents before they are released. If you should come across any errors, or if you have a question about any of the content, please contact technical support. If you can be specific about the title and/or the URL of the document in question, this will help us find the material and address your concerns.

We have added the option of viewing documents and titles by “Preview” in thumbnail form or by the way we have always had, which is “List”. To select your viewing preferences, click on either option.

Yes, we now have abcteach “My Favorites” to save a document in and view it later. When looking at a list of documents, you will notice a heart icon. Select the heart to save a document in your abcteach Favorites. Watch the video tutorial on how to save documents.

Newsletters

Yes, you can always see the latest newsletters or any others by visiting our Newsletter Archives.

abcteach publishes a free monthly newsletter that outlines the newest materials added to the site each month. This does not register you as a member of the abcteach membership site. Sign up for the newsletter here.

Visit the My Account page and select ‘Edit Account.’ Uncheck the checkboxes in the “Email” section for those types of emails you do not wish to receive (newsletters, promotions, informational emails) before saving your changes.

Technical Difficulties

Browser requirements include downloading and using the most recent version of the browser of your choice.

  • Chrome (Mac & Windows)
  • Firefox (Mac & Windows)
  • Internet Explorer (Windows only)
  • Safari (Mac & Windows)
  • We support Internet Explorer version 6 and higher, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.

Requirements for opening PDFs: Most of the printable documents on abcteach are in PDF format. Mac users can use the Preview application to view PDFs (installed with the computer). Windows users may need to install the most recent version of Adobe Reader.

Viewing interactive files: Please follow the links below to read information about how to install software to view interactive files on your computer.

Requirements for viewing videos on abcteach.com: Please note that you will need to have the Adobe Flash Player installed. You can download the Flash Player for free. You can also download HD copies of abcteach videos for offline use by clicking the “Download” link next to the title of any video on abcteach. To play downloaded videos on your computer, you will need to download the Quicktime Player for Windows or Mac.

There are multiple reasons as to why you may not be able to log in to the member site or the free site.

  1. Your username or password may have been entered incorrectly. To correct this problem, try retyping your login information carefully. Make sure you haven’t saved an incorrect username or password to your browser.
  2. You may be using either the wrong password or username. You can recover your account information by filling out this form.

If you continue to have problems, please contact technical support.

If you are not getting the login box at all, then you may have a security filter on your computer blocking this function. The filter could be a firewall set very high, an internet speed booster or power booster, an internet accelerator, or something else that is bypassing the login page altogether. Adjustments need to be made to these settings. These settings may be different for each computer and internet provider. If you are using a school computer, you should contact your school’s IT Department.

Lowering your security settings to the “medium-level” will often take care of this problem.

Please contact technical support if the problem continues.

The username and password work as a team. If you make a typo in your username or you don’t enter the right info, the password won’t work. The username has to match the password that was assigned to it and they both have to match what is on your account.

Your username is usually your entire email address.

Try logging in again. If you are still not successful, you may have saved a typo.

It’s best that you start from scratch and erase everything in the login box. Erase both the username and password lines so they are blank, and put a checkmark in the small box next to the words “remember me.” Retype the username and password carefully. Now log in!

You should see the Member Dashboard upon login.

When you are ready to print, you may need to select “Fit Page to Margins” or “Fit to Paper” on your printer’s dialog window.

When your printer’s dialog window appears, look to the bottom-left side of the window. You should see the words: “Page Handling” and within that section, you should see a dropdown menu with the words “Page Scaling”. The words in that box may also read “None”. Click the arrow of the dropdown menu to select the “Fit to Printer Margins” or “Fit to Paper” setting.

There should also be a checkmark in the “Auto-Rotate and Center” box just below “Page Scaling”. This should fix the problem. Once you change these settings, they should be saved for future printing jobs. Even so, the next few times you print word searches, clip art, or any of your abctools creations, please ensure that your print settings are correct.

If you continue to have problems after using this help session, contact support.

If you can view abcteach documents without any problems, but have trouble printing them, most likely you are having a problem with your printer.

Follow these directions exactly because the order of operations is important.

  1. Close all open programs on your computer and turn off your computer and your printer for five minutes. Let’s see if it is a driver error problem.
  2. When the five minutes is over, turn on the computer first, followed immediately by turning on the printer. Note: It’s very important that both the computer and the printer start together. Shutting down both units dumps the old printer junk and resets the drivers to the computer.
  3. When the computer is finished loading, try printing another document (just one page).

If you are still having problems after that, email abcteach support. We will have to get some additional information from you before we can address this problem. Let us know what type of Operating System you have (ie: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS X or something else).

Check your email mailbox for your “Welcome” email from us. This contains your username and password and a link to help you log in the first time. Once you log in, you may change your default password in the My Account dashboard.

If you can’t find this email, you may have a security filter on your incoming email. You may need to add [email protected] to an “allowable mail list.” Please check your spam or junk mail. It’s sent as soon as your credit card payment processes. When paying by purchase order or check, your login information will be sent when your payment is received by abcteach.

Is your mailbox over quota? Did you enter the correct email address? Did you make any typos when you entered your email address? If you think you may have, contact technical support.

Please don’t go through the payment process again. Don’t refresh your page and don’t click the back button on your browser during the payment process.

If you forgot your password, you must reset it using the account recovery tool.

If you have requested a password reminder and did not receive it, there are a few reasons this could happen:

  • The email address on your account may not be up to date. The email address on your account is where the password reminder will be sent.
  • You may have an email filter or security software that is blocking the password reminder from reaching you. Please check your spam or junk mail.
  • Your email mailbox may be over quota.

Please contact abcteach support and include your full name and phone number so we can help retrieve your password information.

This usually means your browser (Chrome or Safari, for example) can’t interpret the email. You should contact support and ask to be switched to the text-only version of the newsletter. You can also view our newsletters online

You can reach abcteach technical support 24 hours a day by emailing us. Please include your name and phone number in the event we have trouble reaching you by email.
